ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION AUTHORITY AWARDS 2010

Control Concepts - Finalist for Public Sector Award at the 2010 EECA Awards.

Control Concepts was commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to resolve unusually

high energy costs at the Hamilton District Court.

Our investigation revealed HVAC plant control and staff practices to be cause.

Replacement of the HVAC system was uneconomic and the goals of the project needed

to be completed with no impact on day-to-day court operation. As a result, a 3 stage

project was launched to optimise the existing HVAC system and ensure efficient use

   and operation of plant.

Following completion of the project, electricity use in the building has nearly halved, and

the project investment payback period was just 9 months. The success of this project

displays how powerful the process of recommissioning of older buildings can be, and the

ongoing savings and benefits that can be gained with only a small capital investment.

Efficiencies like those achieved at the Hamilton District Court really do represent low

hanging fruit and can easily be replicated at sites across NZ.

     Judges' Comments:

"This project combined minimal capital outlay with great payback and did not disrupt

normal operation. An excellent example of re-commissioning the energy management

     of existing building services."

We are excited to be able to introduce a new release from Innotech - ATOM.

ATOM is data aquisition and management software, allowing full management of

building performance and environmetal impact. We are currently field trialing the software

  at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre.

This powerful new piece of software enables analysing of historic data, generation of

reports and billing information while helping to understand your building's performance

  and environmental impact.

ATOM can be integrated into any new or existing building, or multiple buildings, even

  using your existing infrastructure.

It can also be configured to acquire data from supported SQL databases and generate

billing and reporting information using an entirely customisable tenant/services database.

  Further features are as follows:

Get in touch with us if you are interested in learning more about ATOM or viewing a live

   demonstration of its capabilities.
